Countries of the world

You learn the countries of the world by finding the continent first.

How to find it again

  1. Think: which continent is the country in? Find that continent on the map.
  2. Look in the right part: north or south, east or west.
  3. Tap the country.

A worked example

Tap Kenya.

  1. Find Africa first.
  2. Nigeria is the country on the west coast of Africa, above the middle.
  3. Look east of it.
  4. Tap Kenya.
More examples

  2. China is the big country in the east of Asia.
  3. Look south-west of it.
  4. Tap India.

Watch out

  • You type the name of the continent when the country is asked.

Read the question again. It asks for the country that is lit up, not for the continent around it.

Tips

  • Russia lies in Europe and Asia. This map draws it with Asia.
  • The United States is also called the USA or America.

Why it works

Thirty-four countries on one map is a lot to search. If you know the continent, you only look in one part of the map. Then the country is a small step: north or south, east or west.
